Grassy Waters Conservancy

As a teacher and a grandma of homeschoolers, I am always looking for places that will provide fun and education at the same time.  Free is also a bonus!  The other day I ran across the Grassy Waters Conservancy and decided to check it out!  What a great place to explore and learn about the Northern Everglades.  Grassy Waters Preserve is approximately 24 square miles of nature that is owned by the City of West Palm Beach, providing the primary water supply for West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, South Palm Beach, and parts of unincorporated Palm Beach County.

Grassy nature center that has great hands-on activities for all ages as well as a calendar of planned activities.  25 miles of hiking, biking, kid-friendly walkways, and ADA-accessible paths provide a great living classroom to learn about the Everglades and the importance of the wetlands.  Here is a link to their visitor’s guide – https://grassywaters.org/new-grassy-visitors-guide/

Hope you take the time to check it out!!

About Me

love coffee

As we go through everyday life, I have found that there are moments that pull my attention to them if I am willing to let them. To stop and observe that special something that I want to share with someone else.

Photographs have given me that opportunity. To capture that moment...with the ones we care about, God's amazing creation, and man's creativity. I decided it was time to share these moments with you dear friend!
